A PARADISE LOST

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

These images were taken soon after the Palisades Fire in Malibu. For more than a decade, I lived, worked, and became part of the Malibu community. The images are my first look at a magical stretch of coast I came to know like the back of my hand — rendered a wasteland of ash, mangled steel, and broken homes in a single fiery night.
